Ender Demirkaya, an alumnus of Bilkent University, launched his career as a co-founder of an e-commerce startup. He then spent many years at Microsoft, Meta, and Uber, where he developed deep expertise across a wide range of disciplines.
His areas of expertise include storage systems, search engines, privacy, growth engineering, open source, and workflow engines. Throughout his career, Ender has helped build high-performing teams and vibrant technical communities, organized meetups, and participated in conferences as a speaker.
Ender co-authored the Software Engineering Handbook with Yusuf Aytas, turning years of engineering and leadership experience into a practical guide for the parts of the job engineers usually learn the hard way: choosing teams, reading offers, shipping messy projects, handling conflict, managing up, and recovering when work or career plans go sideways.
